C7000v2 not giving internet to Android phone

I'm having a problem with my C7000v2 cable modem/router/wi-fi combo. I'm able to conect to the wi-fi and access internet with 2 different PCs, an ipad, and my kindle. But Android phones can connect to the wi-fi, but then get no internet. I've tried a Pixel 3, a Pixel 3XL, and some Samsung model.

I'm with Xfinity internet, I have the latest firmware on the router. I've factory reset the router, I've power cycled it, I've checked to make sure my phones are up to date, still no internet throught the router.

Has anyone else encountered this problem?

Lets see if these will connect if you temporarily disable WPA on the modem. See if any of the Android devices connect. IF they do, then re-enable WPA2 and AES only on the modem, then see if they connect.

Try setting a manual channel as well on the modem, try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and any unused channel on 5Ghz.

Thanks for the advice. But before I got a chance to test out you suggestions I noticed by phone was connected to the 5Ghz of the Wi-Fi and now internet it working fine. To the best of my knowledge the router didn't receive any update and neither did my phone. I would just chalk it up to me being a dummy and screwing up trying to connect at first, but I have several friends try as well and none of us could get it to work. But now it does, so problem solved I guess.

Ok. Might have been just odd ball thing with the phone. Glad it's working now.

        Enjoy. :smileywink:
