C7000V2 reset itself to factory defaults

I purchased a new C7000V2 WiFi Cable Modem Router and set it up last night with Network Name and Password.  I confirmed it worked and could access with my PC and Phone.  This morning I moved the unit to a more central location in the house and now everything went back to factory defaults.  I have not even connected Comcast to the moden yet.  Why would this happen and should I return this before I get too far along?
