What are these TPLinks? Wifi media bridges or Power Line adapters?
LAN cable connections is recommended for best gaming performances.
- cbowen72Jan 17, 2020AspirantPower line adapters. I’m not able to run LAN cables because I’m renting.

If you remove these power lines, does the modem maintain it's settings?
- cbowen72Jan 17, 2020AspirantWell here’s the deal. I bought the router/modem combo back in September. I originally hooked up a tp-link and d-link for my tv which helps to stream sports games. I also personalized my router. Gave it a WiFi name and my own password. Set it up to have a static IP and such. It did go out a few times and I had to do it all over again. Had to plug my laptop with a CAT5 into the router to log in to get it going again. When I added the 3rd PlayStation (3 kids, 3 PlayStations Lol) it just wont stay on so yes now it’s staying on with the PlayStations running on WiFi and not the power lines. I have 1 PlayStation directly connected to the Router, 2 running on WiFi and the D-link still connected for my sports games otherwise there’s too much lag. So it’s either that 3rd PlayStation was just too much for it to handle, or it resets when I personalize it or it could have a conflict with my ISP cause after I bought I realized it wasn’t on the “approved” list from Spectrum. Confused? Yeah me too Lol 😆
