C7000v2 USB ReadyShare issues

I plugged in a WD MyPassport Ultra 2TB HD to the USB port on the back of the C7000v2, but it fails to be detected. It shows USB not connected On the ReadyShare when the HD is clearly connected by usb. This HD is on the list of acceptable devices. It is formatted NTFS. This HD works fine when connected directly to my laptop. I have also tried to connect 3ea other usb devices to the C7000v2, but still does not detect that a usb devices is connected. Any suggestions?
