    What WiFi devices are you connecting to the modem? 

    You sure they are connecting to the 5Ghz radio?

Yep - that was indeed the issue.  My devices were not connecting to the 5GHz radio. đŸ™ˆ  I had wrongly assumed this would happening automatically.  Thank you.
