An alternative to an extender, which is probably the best option, is to Powerline Ethernet which comes in bundles that include an access point in the package.
I suggest that because you might also like to connect a fixed device, such as a smart TV to your modem/router.
The last thing to consider is a one of the Mobile Routers, Hotspots & Modems that are the subject of this section of the community. Expensive and nothing to do with the question you asked.
