You can use both. Just make sure to have the C7000 on different wifi channels (and different ssid) than the orbi.
And you'd want the orbi in access point mode.
That'd fix the double nat and prevent interference.
Or follow what you're doing and put the c7000 in modem only mode.
that'd work to but you'd lose being able to use the c7000 as a wifi point
