Modem was hacked. How do I reset the Wi-Fi password?

Or use the ERASE button on the routers web page to factory reset the router:

Those modem/router combo devices have pretty locked firmware so if you change those (and the password recovery questions), you should be good
he question remains: How do I login to change the wifi admin and password. I don't understand how I go about doing this. The reason I need to change it is because Xfinity noted I was hacked and whomever did it was committing Copy Infringement actions attached to my address.
