C7100v router on Xfinity 150Mb - wireless speed much faster than wired
I have a C7100v for my Xfinity 150Mb service. Since installation, all computers connected to my network by ethernet (and no matter where in the network, including directly connected to the device) have tested at 90-95Mb/s using the Xfinity speed test (and all others). Wireless devices, however, connect at 150+. Comcast has come twice to test the line and it appears the line in is at full speed/strength.
I have Windows 10 as well as Mac OS computers connected, all with the same speed test results. The firmware is v2.01.40 - which I believe is current. There appears to be no setting for QoS (which I read could be a problem) on this router.
Any help would be very much appreciated!! Please post if there is more infomation that could be useful in figuring this out.
How are you speed testing? Web browser and speed test site or Ooklas speed test app installed on the PCs?
What LAN cables are you using? CAT6 is recommended.
IF the wifi devices are getting to spec speeds and wired isn't, possible issue with PCs and or cabling needs to be reviewed first.
Try a factory reset on the modem and setup from scratch and test.

Speed testing is using Xfinity speed test.
I did a full reset and replaced all cables (except 1 in the wall) with Cat6.
I now get:
Port Status TxPkts RxPkts Collisions Tx B/s Rx B/s Up Time WAN Link Up 109352 913824 3 49265182 1344515805 0:14:21 LAN1 1G/Full 2096809 1652606 711 2459751862 1173719188 0:15:56 LAN2 1G/Full 0:15:56 LAN3 1G/Full 0:15:56 LAN4 100M/Full 0:15:56 WLAN 600 M 1232 4755 0 1029478 918879 0:15:56 WLAN 1300 M 0 350 0 885577 53677 0:15:56 So I have full speed (170+mbs) to all the devices plugged into the 1G/Full ports. Before it was showing all the ports at 100M/Full.
Thanks so much for the help. Seems I am good to go now!
