So basically when I try to go to routerlogin I have my computer connected to the router via ethernet cable. However I cannot see my own network listed in the options of networks to connect to. Trying to get into routerlogin bring ups the same "cannot load page" type of message that attempting to go to any other website without network connection would.
Basically it seems that my router won't recognize an ethernet cable in any port. It acts like it's connected to the internet but won't connect to any devices via ethernet or wifi. Wifi won't even turn on. I can't even find my network to TRY to connect to.
I'm sorry if this still isn't useful but at this point it's all I've got. Please ask away if there's more info I can provide!

That's not how routerlogin works. You will not see any network to connect to. That's a wifi thing.
http://routerlogin.net (or http://routerlogin.com) should bring up the graphical user interface (GUI) for the C7500.
If they do not work, then an alternative is http://192.168.0.1.

What is that "type of message"?
These messages are not random. The exact wording may well tell us something about why your modem/router is rejecting the connection.
Is there anything else on your network?
