C7800 - Misbehaving apps.
I have two older tablets (Samsung SM-T320 and SM-T700). My old router was a C7000, and everything worked perfectly. Now I have a C7800 router and these apps do not work: Reuters News, AP News, CBS...
Disable IPv6 on the modem.
Try changing DNS to 1.1.1.1, 9.9.9.9 or 8.8.4.4,8.8.8.8
Check with the app provider or service provider. This maybe a app or ISP service issue than a modem issue.
Thanks. I've disabled IPV6 *and* IPV4. No joy.
I've tried all the new and popular DNS. At first I though it was going to do the trick, but 24 hours later (Is that a clue?) and I'm back to where I was.
Xfinity sent some kind of special code to the router. Still no joy. They're sending me a CG814 loaner to see if that resolves the issue. I'm kind of hoping it won't because then I'll be stuck with a $300-400 Netgear.
Contact NG support as well...
