Hey everybody! Sorry to be a bother here, but I'm not really tech savvy and tried to read up on this as much as I could but could use some guidance. So I just bought a C7800 a few months back (even after reading some reviews with intermittent dropping of Xfinity and prayed for the best because its a good router!) and set up my Xfinity internet 800mbps about a month ago. Over the past few weeks, my wife and I, who only each have a laptop, an Iphone, a PS5, and the Xfinity flex box which we use for Hulu + live tv and notice intermittent dropping for about 30 seconds but multiple times a day, and just lots of buffering on everything. Everything is connected wirelessly with nothing close enough to be wired and its about 1500 sq ft so not enough for the internet to be unstable really. I've went on the router after reading many forums about this and this is what I've found. Sorry in advance for the lengthy read but I would really appreciate any guidance or insight at all, and please imagine I know nothing and walk me through baby steps what you advise 🙂 thanks again everyone!
1) I was a reading a forum from Fury I believe who recommended to change channels for the 2.4 and the 5 ghz connection, and I manually changed the channels to a network that's less busy (I set up two different ones and have no guest network in place at all)
2) I read something about the downstream/upstream but that seems to be alright here from my limited knowledge? Downstream in photo attached

3) I've read a lot about the DOS attacks on Xfinity, I guess they're called, but never really found a solution. This is what I'm seeing on my log just over the past few days

While many questions about routers are generic and could be answered anywhere, some things need specialist knowledge.
You might get more help, and find earlier questions and answers specific to your device, in the appropriate section for your hardware. That's probably here:
Cable Modems & Routers
You might like to search there for messages related to your problem.
I will ask the Netgear moderator to move your message.
In the meantime you could visit the support pages:
Support | NETGEAR
Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware. Look at the label on the device for the model number.
Check for various troubleshooting tips.
You may have done this already. I can't tell from your message.
I mention it because Netgear stopped supplying printed manuals and CD versions some years ago and people sometimes miss the downloads.
On the DoS Attacks, Netgear's firmware is great at creating false reports of DoS attacks. Many of them are no such thing.
Search - NETGEAR Communities – DoS attacks
Use Whois.net to see who is behind some of them and you may find that they are from places like Facebook, Google, even your ISP.
Here is a useful tool for that task:
IPNetInfo: Retrieve IP Address Information from WHOIS servers
If these events are slowing down your router, that may be because it is using up processor time as it writes the events to your logs. Anything that uses processor power – event logging, QoS management, traffic metering – may cause slowdowns. Disable logging of DoS attacks and see if that reduces the problem. This does not prevent the router from protecting you from the outside world.

And you had mentioned to disable the DOS logs. Sorry for the stupidity, but how do I do this? Thanks again for your help!- michaelkenwardOct 29, 2022Guru - Experienced User

Between your cable connections page and event logs, you have issues with the line.
you can always try different cables but do check for splitters prior to the modem. they're where I always start with cable connection issues.
