C7800 is absolute garbage and so is Netgear customer support
This product is a $350 paper weight. Ive spent over 10 hours researching how to make this junk work properly in addition to 4 and a half hours on the phone with NETGEAR "tech support" On top of all this Ive had 3 visits from COX (the ISP) techs coming to the house. I have never seen over 200 mbps with this device on a 1000MBPS service package. That includes plugging directly into it with a CAT6 cable. This is hands down the worst tech nightmare Ive ever dealt with. I will never in my life reccomend this company or their products to anyone. This has consumed way too much of my time only to be told by a support specialist over the phone that there was nothing more they could do for me. So I will spend my down time making sure I tell anyone on any site not to buy any of these NETGEAR products. Absolutely appaling.
This is the recommended product for the Cox gigablast package and they do not work well together for reasons still unknown to me. What should have been a 30 minute product swap has turned into 3 weeks of being on hold for hours on the phone while I receive subpar performance from an almost $400 dollar device.
