C7800 not saving 5GHz Guest Network settings
Firmware 3.01.43 genie 3.1.78 I just noticed I cannot change the 5GHz guest network password or any of the 5GHz guest network settings. Haven't tried changing regular settings because I wonder if...

Really weird behaviors...
* If I try to disable the both Guest Networks (2.4GHz / 5GHz), the 5GHz remains enabled.
* If I remember the Guest 5GHz, it starts broadcasting the renamed SSID but it doesn't work (and the page in the browser will still show the old name).
* If I disable both Guest Networks (2.4GHz / 5GHz), and rename the 5GHz guest network, then it becomes disabled (even it still will show enabled in the basic view but disabled (and broadcasting) in the advanced view.
The only way I get it to work is by leaving the name / password untouched. Really weird behavior, seems totally broken. I would be tempted to do a factory reset but I wonder if it might completely break something and I need the connection to work.

Try a factory rest when you have time and not at work. Setup from scratch.
Try using IE11, Edge or Firefox browser.

Yeah, I'm tempted to try but with all the WFH it would be terrible if I lose connectivy (I'm a Software Engineer in one of the huge companies :-)). Also, my setup in the router has a lot of manual things (reserved IP addresses / port forwarding / other tweaks, so it would take me some time to manually restore everything :-().

Do a backup configuration to file before doing the reset.

I do have a backup, but sadly restoring from a backup could restore the bug. Also, the other sad thing is that Netgear .cfg backups seem encrypted (meaning that I have to manually back up the settings as well just in case, would be so much nicer if it was just a plain text file). Do you happen to know how to read the .cfg file ? I was searching but it seems that is encrypted with a key inside the router.
