C7800 ROUTER/MODEM: IS IT CAPABLE OF DOING VOIP?

i am trying to buy the hx series of gigaset telephones.
not sure about specs. i was told these models work well in a voip system
having problems trying to purchase a voip phone.
Thought gigaset was a great product. i am open to other brands as well
I would contact gigaset to see whats compatible as I see some require a dect compatible base and others require the router to have dect

I've never used anything like it myself (just stuck to cell phones).
I've got a couple family members that use Ooma and love it.

not sure why it is so difficult to get a kit (phone, base staion, answering machine for voip?
some companies have some but it is mainly indivdual buying and i am left to figure how to add a seperate purchase of an an answering machine.
oh well i do have alot of time, newly retired. i will just go with that.
