C7800 VPN

I have a C7800 Nighthawk WiFi Cable Modem Router, and I wanted to setup a VPN to connect to my home network. I was looking at the documentation, and it says that this expensive router is not VPN capable? Does anyone know for sure or can tell me how I can go about and do what I want?
