Wifi 5Ghz AC will never perform as well as wired ethernet nor see any speeds on the down near 900Mpbs. Depending upon devices used, there design and support, most will max out at around 400-500Mpbs depending on how they connect to the modem and howe the modem/router wifi is configured.

If yoru seeing 30MB then you are probably seeing around what the devices support for Mbps speeds

I'm seeing 30 Mbps versus 890Mbps - I'd be thrilled with 400-500!

So to confirm, are you seeing 30MB or 30Mpbs? There is a difference...
What devices are you speed testing with?
What are the current wifi settings on the modem?
What channels are you using? Auto? Try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and 40 to 48 channel on 5Ghz.
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?- aabate7Jun 28, 2021Aspirant
Yep - used the wrong B/b - 30Mpbs
Speed testing with iPhone 12; SurfacePro 7; and 2 different Dell laptops.
WiFi for 2.4 is Auto
WiFi for 5G is 153 - I will try 40 to 48.
Other WiFis around - loads! I'm in a townhome/villa community - there are at least 10 that come up on my network searches.
