C7800 WiFi not showing up
I have done all the things, called netgear and ISP. My WiFi cut out randomly, fur solid white lights, no WiFi at all. WiFi button does nothing. Hardwiring in gives me internet access but when...

If the wifi radios are not working, even after a factory reset. You can just disablle them in the UI. Then connect up any other wifi system to the C7800 and continue to use the C7800 as your modem and router as a alternative suggestion. There are better wifi systems out there that are way better than the wifi thats on the C7800.

That would be a last resort option, I'm sure.
However, I've been searching threads and the same thing happened to another user last night as well. Something funky is going on...

MY theory is this:
Something with ISPs thinking we need a firmware update causes the decive to think it's being DoS attacked.
This happens beacuse there WAS NO UPDATE FIRMWARE RELEASE, for some reason ISP pushed it anyway (NETGEAR does NOT send firmware updates, only ISP for this model). So after repeated attempts and subsequent failures, the modem disables WiFi in a effort to lock out potential Denial of Service attack.
I can't get NETGEAR to admit this, and the ISP swears they didn't send an update although I saw it with my own two eyes when I hardwired (ethernet) to the modem and access the router through it's diagnostics. I had access to the page for a second and then it went completely black with green lines and lettering saying "Firmware Update in Progess" or words to that effect.
NO ONE will own up to this Firmware Push and frankly IDGAF anymore...

One way to check this. Disconnect the coax cable from the modem. Factory reset the modem. See if the wifi LEDs appear, if this is a DDOS attack, the modem shouldn't do anything by default if the coas is not connected and wifi radios should appear. Unless FW has really messed up the modem and wifi radios.
