If the wifi radios are not working, even after a factory reset. You can just disablle them in the UI. Then connect up any other wifi system to the C7800 and continue to use the C7800 as your modem and router as a alternative suggestion. There are better wifi systems out there that are way better than the wifi thats on the C7800.

I've read that people with the same unit are doing that, I plan on using it as a trade in on a new modem and router.
I will never buy/use a NETGEAR product again. Which is sad because I've used them for 18 years.

I recommend getting into separete modem and router units. Having combo units is ok but when something happens you loose more than you expect. If you have separate units, then there is a bit more control over your system. Especially FW updates which you can't control on modems or modem combo units like the C7800. You still have the modem and router portion work which for this case you can keep using it.
You might contact the ISP and see if they can downgrade the FW on the modem if it had been recently updated to see if this changes anything. The ISP will need to do this.

I talked with ISP and they tried to downgrade but weren't successful in fixing the problem.
I will defineately be getting a sepearte Router and Modem, no more combo units.

This might be worth a shot. It says I'm running FW v6.xxxxx but netgear FW support is saying I should be on v3.xxxxx

Ok, press the ISP on this to get the modem back to v3 or the recommended verions NG mentioned.
I'll see if I can reach out to NG on this and have them review this. Seems like if the wifi had been working and a recent FW update may have broke it. the ISP needs to revert back. They should have done testing before pushing. But they only know what they did.
No promises.
