C7800 wifi speed only 140 mbps on 1g plan????

Have a 1gb plan on Xfinity. Nighthawk on the destkop with wired connection getting 920 mbps. Nighthawk wifi, 3 feet away from the router on an Applie iPhone 11 PRO only seeing 140 mbps! Orbi at 3...

Yeah, after poor range coverage in the house and the less than expected wifi speeds of 100-200 mbps, I've decided to return the nighthawk.  

 

Instead of I'm getting:

 

  • Arris SB8200 DOCSIS 3.1 with 2gb ethernet ports - dedicated ethernet with a specific IP for my son's pc for gaming, and another ethernet port for my wifi
  • Orbi RBK753S  - with the base unit and two satellites for better house wide coverage and higher download speeds.

This should address the poor coverage in other parts of the house while giving me higher speeds that I had with the older version of Orbi.  The previouse Orbi CBR40 game me up to 300 mpbs off a 500 mbps data plan.  With the set up above and and move to 1gb plan, I expect to get at least 400-500 mpbs on my devices that can handle that.
