Cable modems
I have an old Frontier cable modem (landline). I know I'm not going to get faster speed with a newer model, but this thing is megabyte and bottlenecks my LAN. Is there a modem router I can get with gigabyte ports and can still do landline ISP? Frontier is absolutely no help on technology that's decades old.

Check to see if the CM1150v modem is supported on there system:

In this context, that phase normally refers to a cable-TV-type modem.
Hence the confusion.> I have an old Frontier cable modem (landline). [...]
Do you mean DSL? (Wrong forum.) Has your (unspecified) "an old
Frontier cable modem (landline)" a maker and model number?> [...] Is there a modem router I can get with gigabyte ports and can
> still do landline ISP? [...]Sure, although perhaps not from Netgear. Also, you might want to
consider a separate modem and router. And those are gigabit ports, not
gigabyte ports.https://community.netgear.com/t5/x/bd-p/home-dsl-modems-routers

_What_ kind of money? For what?
