Cable modems

I have an old Frontier cable modem (landline). I know I'm not going to get faster speed with a newer model, but this thing is megabyte and bottlenecks my LAN. Is there a modem router I can get with gigabyte ports and can still do landline ISP? Frontier is absolutely no help on technology that's decades old.

Sorry but landline means old telephone wire connections, not cable.

In this context, that phase normally refers to a cable-TV-type modem.
    Hence the confusion.

Do you mean DSL?  (Wrong forum.)  Has your (unspecified) "an old
Frontier cable modem (landline)" a maker and model number?

Sure, although perhaps not from Netgear.  Also, you might want to
consider a separate modem and router.  And those are gigabit ports, not
    gigabyte ports.

Typing mobile isn't always the best for spelling in my case. But thanks for the right part of this forum. Might as well kill this one.

_What_ kind of money?  For what?
