Cable modems

I’ve tried everything and can’t seem to update firmware I’ve seen on support page that ips has to update it? I called spectrum and they said they can’t do anything from there end?

      Thank you for taking the time to help with this questio.Definitely saved me lots of time! Would like netgear to tell me up front instead of waiting 2 hours for a technician.
