Can I use the Netgear C7100V instead of Verizon Fios G3100 or G1100 ?
I am currently an Xfinity customer using the the Netgear C7100V (works fine) and am considering a switch to Fios, but do not want to rent or purchase their G3100 or G1100 router. Is this possible?

the C series models are a cable modem which only works on cable ISPs. Verison is a FIOS ISP, which differs from cable.
Be sure to contact the ISP and ask them what is required for there services.
Good Luck.

The best people to ask about the compatibility of devices on a network are the people who run the network. In this case Verizon.
If anyone on the Netgear community knows the answers, this probably won't be the place where they hang out
You have posted your message in the section of this community given over to Nighthawk WiFi Routers. (This is easily done, given Netgear's complicated community structure.)
Many questions apply to different types of device, so you might get responses here, but you might get more help, and find earlier questions and answers specific to your hardware, in the appropriate section for your device. That's probably here:
Cable Modems & Routers
I will ask the Netgear moderator to move your message.
You could also try a search over there for Verizon.

Thank you for your advice and for moving my query to the correct spot.
I will search Verizon.
