Can the AC 1750 be used as just a router?
I am looking at getting the CM1100 (modem only) https://www.netgear.com/home/products/networking/cable-modems-routers/CM1100.aspx But I want to try and find a use for my current router-modem which...

"AC1750" is a speed, not a model number. Ever helpful, Netgear
product packaging emphasizes speeds like "ACxxxx", but that's not the
model identifier. Look at the product label for the actual model
number.

Only if you could find an accessible WAN/Internet Ethernet port on
the thing. So, no.

There would be some chance of using a C6300 as a wireless access

And yea, I was wondering that too, since it does not have any sort of "input" for ethernet, just co-ax. :(
