Cannot Connect
WNDR3400v3 Router & CM 400 Modem - When I booted up my computer, I could not connect to the internet. I had to go through router login and netgear genie to get internet access.
I wanted to post this solution here in this forum, hoping it will help someone else having the same problem I had.
I dealt with this issue for several days and it was very frustrating.
I had my cable company come out and check everything. They were as baffled as I was.
After three disconnected calls with Netgear support, I did some more research and here is what I did to fix the problem. I found this solution online:
First, I did a "Disk Clean" on my windows 7 desktop.
Next, I did a "System Restore" going back to the earliest date possible.
After this, I rebooted my computer and the problem was gone.
I now have an internet connection.
