Cannot VPN to work

I am attempting to VPN into my office but am unable to and unsure why.  When I originally got the router about five months ago, I was able to VPN in by assigning a static IP to my laptop and opening port 1723, but as of about a week ago, I am no longer able to.  I have checked all ports and verified that I was still getting the assigned IP and still no luck.  It just basically times out.  Am I missing something?  Can the ISP (Comcast/Xfinitiy) block this traffic?

    Try a factory reset and setup from scratch. This time try VPN with out making any changes on the C modem? 

    Most ISP don't block VPNs...
