Cant connect to wifi

Exact same problem. I live in VA. The wired connection is solid with fine speed, but the 2.4GHz only has 10Mbps downlink and the 5GHz channel just disappeared. I logged in to the router and in the wireless settings there is no problem at all. Is it because of a firmware update? Cuz this just happened right after the network outage was over.
