Can't figure this out - Can only access internet over Chrome
Hello - we had a storm two nights ago and now I can only access the internet (or any data) on my home network via Chrome. Nothing else works - it's crazy! Don't know where to begin to troubleshoot.
Here's my set up:
- Xfinity cable internet service into the home (they claim the service is fine). We also receive TV and phone with the same service and they both work fine.
- Netgear C7100v cable modem (for the Xfinity triple play). I have an ADT system plugged directly into the modem and there is no connectivity to the ADT box. The top three lights are solid white, indicating there is an internet connection.
- Orbi mesh network.
All of my home devices - TV, Nest Cameras, SmartThings hub, ecobee thermostats can not connect to the internet. Computers and phones appear to be connected to the Wifi, and can connect to the internet via Chrome. Nothing else works - safari, phone apps, outlook, etc. Is it possible this is a Xfinity problem or does it sound like the storm may have done something to my modem? Just don't want to buy a new modem if that's not the problem.
Thanks

Please post a copy and paste of the modems connection status page.
Have the ISP check the signal and line quality UP to the modem. Be sure the ISP provisions the modem correctly.
Be sure there are no coax cable line splitters in the between the modem and ISP service box.
Be sure your using good quality RG6 coax cable up to the modem.
Be sure to power OFF the modem for 1 minute them back ON.

Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?
