Can't login to router
I have a Netgear C6300 modem/router that's about 3 years old. Everything is working fine but for one thing: I can't login to it. I get the error message: "Netgear router is not found or is not su...

Thanks for getting back to me Michael!
I have tried both the Genie app and 3 browsers. It's the Genie app that gives the eror message: "Netgear router is not found or is not supported. Also, make sure the device is not connected to the guest network of the router, and no IPv6 is enabled".
With Safari a). http://routerlogin.net gets me a "Safari Can't Connect to the Server" message, and, b). 192.168.0.1 brings me to a Time Warner search page.
With Chrome a)., and, b). 192.168.0.1. http://routerlogin.net both get me a "This site can't be reached" message.
With Firefox a)., and, b). 192.168.0.1. http://routerlogin.net both get me an "Unable to connect" message.
192.168.0.1 shows up as the router address in my network settings. In the TCP/IP tab in network settings, Configure IPv4 has Using DHCP selected and Configure IPv6 has Automatically selected. The other 2 options are Manually or Link-local only. There is no off position for IPv6 although there is one for IPv4.
Just tried everything again today with the same results. I use Spectrum (formerly Time Warner). I saw some threads that said try to get them update the firmware with no luck. Isn't there a way to get that from Netgear? I can't find it on their site.

This makes me wonder if there is something else on your network.
That sort of thing may also mean that you are going on to their front end.

You have a cable modem. In that case firmware updates come from the ISP.
Perhaps they also supplied the modem. That might explain some of the other things you see. They may have shipped the modem with settings that are specific to their network.
Is there a Spectrum self-support forum like this one?
As you havern't done a factory reset – a reluctance that I fully understand given that you aren't in a position to backup your settings so that you can restore them later – I can't suggest much more than that.

Thanks again Michael.
I purchased and installed this modem/router myself with no issues at the time. I guess I'll have to grit my teeth and get on with Specturm support first. If that fails, it's $50 to Netgrrrrr.

call spectrum and ask them to REMOVE the device OUT OF BRDIGE MODE.
