CAX 30 bricked by update

It appears my CAX30 is truly bricked?  Arrived from vacation to find no internet.  

I've tried to reset it waiting for the lights to start flashing.  After reset, the status is:

 

Power light on

Lightning flashing

Port lights off

2.5 and 5 Ghz lights on...

 

No ssid is being transmitted;  unable to connect manually entering ssid and password.

Using ethernet cable in ports 1-4 results in no lights and no connection.

 

I couldn't see a way to roll back the firmware update using the USB port.

 

Emailed netgear; crickets......

 

Any help on where I've gone wrong (having bought the CAX30 is already on the list), or new methods to try are greatly appreciated.
