CAX 80 password reset loop

Somebody please help getting out of this before I'll trash this (censored)

Router is stuck in a pwd reset loop at address https://EXTERNAL_IP:PORT/PwdRec_index.htm

I did try to reset it although there was NO need whatsoever, and nothing, still getting bounced to that page.

I think I did have this issue before but don't remember how I fixed it.

I'm out of the country so please avoid saying "you could try to reset to default" since I have no direct access to it, and I'm sure that's not what I did before.

This is happening on both Chrome and (yuck) Edge.

Firmware of the CA X 80 is the latest 2.1.5.2

Any idea?

Thank  you!!

Chrome Version 114.0.5735.90 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Edge      Version 113.0.1774.57 (Official build) (64-bit)

Win 11 home version 22H2 build 22621.1702

do you have the serial (don't post it here, just asking)?

If so, use that and make sure to meet the minimum password requirements.

    If you don't, it'll loop.

    I suggest

    10 characters

    1 special

    1 upper case

    1 lower case

    1 number

      Hi plemans

as I said I did try to reset the password and it does meet the requirements, to the point it actually confirm the pwd was changed.

The SN is cached as you can see (deleted part of it, obviously) so it's correct.

But once done, I'm back to the pwd reset page

Id power off the modem for 30 seconds then back ON.

Using a different browser, MS Edge or FireFox or Opera, try logging in to the modems web page. Be sure your interring in the correct PW values.

Be sure to clear out all browser caches before entering the modems web page.

If this fails, try a full on factory reset and setup from scratch. Walk thru the setup wizard and this time re-enter in a new PW. I would avoid using spcial characters. I use Two Upper case characters, 3 lower case characters, then numbers afterwards and it works for my CAX80. UUabcde123 for example.
