CAX30 Guest Wifi no longer working
I noticed today that when I attempted to enable the Guest Wifi on my CAX30 that it is nonfunctional. Initially I thought maybe SSID broadcast was broken, however even attempting to connect directly without discovery still fails. The normal WiFi does still function, however.
I've reset the modem, and even downgraded the firmware to 2.2.1.12 (when I know it had worked) from 2.2.2.2 with no change.
I've tried different configurations of 'Enable SSID Broadcast' while enabling 'Enable Guest Network' and nothing seems to work. I've had the network and broadcast enabled and none of the four devices I've tried have been able to connect. Distance doesn't seem to matter either, and I have also attempted to change the SSID name to rule that out.
It appears as though the Guest Network is just no longer functioning. Unfortunately the 'Event Log' and 'Logs' tabs under 'Administration' in 'Advanced settings' only seem to capture external traffic issues and cable modem handshakes, not any internal errors.
Any ideas on what might be going wrong?
Thanks!
Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed since last FW update? A complete pull of the power adapters for a period of time after the factory reset then walk thru the setup wizard and setup from scratch with a wired PC and web browser. https://kb.netgear.com/22697/How-do-I-install-my-NETGEAR-router-using-the-router-web-interface

A full factory reset then re-setup worked! I tried power cycling last night but not a factory reset. Kind of kicking myself now for not trying that too. 😃
Thanks for the quick reply and assistance!

Glad you got it working. Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.
