CAX30 Throttling my ethernet connection. But Wifi is fast.
Apologies as i'm not super technically savvy, but: Only recently noticed that the speed of the connection to my desktop (measured via speedtest.net) would drop down to around 100-150Mbps, when I'...

If the wifi is still hitting 900mbps, it isn't the modem side.
Do you have a different ethernet device you can test it with?
Your behavior seems device specific and that makes me suspicious of that device.

Unfortunately I don't have another device. This is literally the second CAX30 that I'm experiencing the same issue with. I thought it was maybe an issue with the previous router, but nope. That's why it feels like it's CAX30 specific, as in some sort of software bug/compatibility issue. I'm hoping it's something with the coax wire that Comcast can remedy, but wondering if any experts here might know or if any here have experienced the same thing.

when 2 devices have the exact same issue, it makes me suspicious of whats connected to it. Like the pc. Since the wifi is performing as it should, it makes me think the pc is the issue. Thats why I asked if you had another wired device you could test. Or borrow to test. Or pickup a usb/ethernet adapter to test with

Got it, thanks for the insight. I've scoured the options on what i could even do with the pc itself (reset network settings, checked all other permissions). Comcast just came out and made some changes to the coax and at the box itself to remove a filter, so I'm hoping that fixes the issue. If not, then if it's some sort of software "issue" then I might just try an Arris router to rule out whether it's a Netgear issue.
