CAX80 Cannot install firmware 2.1.4.2
When i try to install manually it says it's the wrong firmware. Automatic search doesn't find any firmware.
Did you try doing the 2.1.3.7 version first? Then the 2.1.4.2?
Also, make sure you're extracting the firmware after downloading it. (I've seen people make that error)
Not sure, it was one of those refub from Amazon.
K. Possible that the unit could be a older model. Older models seems to have older bootloader code like mine does. I found out that when loading newer code on my unit caused the unit to not accept any more FW updates. I had to send it back to NG to get it fixed. It's back know and were waiting on next FW that were hoping that will let older units be updated. NG is aware of this odd issue.
I would recommend avoid updating your unit for now. If the modem is working, leave it be. If you are having a problem, please post and give details. Other than NG already knows about this issue and a 5Ghz radio upload issue as well, give details.
