I just recieved the CAX80 yesterday and called Xfiinity to get it hooked up. It's online but I can't connect to the internet. Xfinity confirmed that it is working on their end. My phone shows that it...

log into the cax80 through the browser. Get a screen snip of the cable connections page and the logs from the router.
that helps us to check the connection back to the isp.
also, try factory resetting it, (push and hold reset for 7-15 seconds while powered on). After it reboots, power it back off, unhook the coax and leave it for a minutes or 2. Then connect the coax back to it and boot it up, try reinstalling it.
If that doesn't help, post the screen snips of those logs and cable connections page.
did you call in for setup or use the autoactivation?

So I did the factory reset and then disconnected everything and plugged it in and hooked up an ethernet to my laptop. At first the internet still didn't work even though it was hard wired. I logged into the modem and was just going through the menus and then after about 5-10 minutes I tried the internet again and it was working. Youtube was working. So I logged in with my phone and wifi is now working on my phone. Here is a copy and paste of the cable log. Now I'm trying speed tests and I'm not impressed. On 5G on my phone it was a little over 100mbps download speed and each time I test it, it is getting less. I have the 1000mbps plan from Xfinity so I should be getting a lot better. I ran the speed test on my laptop and it is hard wired and download speede was 434. Then I tested again a few minutes later and it was 104. I just tried again and now I got 460. shouldn't I be getting at least double that? should I reset the modem again?

Are you using smart connect? if so, the cax80 might have your iphone on the 2.4ghz which is much slower and sensitive to interference.
On your laptop, how are you testing? Many sites won't saturate gigabit. try speedtest.xfinity.com
Also, what laptop are you testing on? some older devices won't saturate gigabit.
