CAX80 Ethernet port speeds

Hello,

 

Issue with download speeds on my CAX80 Cable modem using the ethernet ports, wifi is fine, no issues.

 

2 Devices on 2 different ports:

TV - on port 4 - 1G. Streaming was hanging and buffering or freezing up. Tested speed 90M on an 800M plan, switched to wifi getting 300M.

Desktop - on multi-gig port. Tested 90 M.

 

seems like there is something throttling me down to 100M over the wire but I cannot find it. 

 

Wifi has no issues.

 

What I have done:

Switched the cables

rebooted the modem

restored to defaults and reconfigured

upgraded the firmware (from V2.1.3.5 to V2.1.3.7)

downgraded the firmware (from V2.1.3.7 to V2.1.2.6)

 

No luck, I havent called the cable company only because the WiFi is working fine and Im assuming that if it was XFinity it would affect both wired and wireless
