CAX80 finally bricked after a year of continuous problems.

Bought a CAX80, had nothing but problems with it, slow, sporadic, choppy, channels.

 

every time my home had a power failure, the thing would add a new symptom of failure.

 

today it bricked. none of the four ethernet ports would work, just the 2gb port, wireless also dead.

 

today i found an article that Netgear knows their CAX80's are crap and wont fix or replace them.

 

a few months ago, the internet service provider did a Netgear recommended firmware update and suddenly ethernet channel 1 stopped working at 1000mps.

 

real lemon. now its dead and i want a replacement and they wont answer my emails or calls. out of warranty period. you didn't fix it when it was.  not your problem as usual.

 

in addition i ordered three devices from Netgear, got two of the three, the third was stolen by the person packing my order. had to separate order the missing item and it took four months to get my money back from the missing device.

 

there service department absolutely sucks, to get any progress with.  four months fighting almost every day for a refund.
