CAX80 Internet cuts out everyday
Hey Friends, My internet access wired and wifi seems to go down everyday at the same time. Thought it was the DHCP lease renewing but that's on a 7 day timer, a simple reboot of the router fixes ...

Have the ISP check the signal and line quality UP to the modem. Be sure the ISP provisions the modem correctly.
Be sure there are no coax cable line splitters in the between the modem and ISP service box.
Be sure your using good quality RG6 coax cable up to the modem.
Be sure to power OFF the modem for 1 minute them back ON.

Have already had the isp run all checks and had a tech come out. Everything looks good on the ISP side they’re not seeing any service errors in their system.

What Firmware version is currently loaded?
Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed since last FW update?
- 90sScottDec 17, 2020AspirantFW version 2.1.1.4 most up to date per net gear website. Came loaded with it. Have checked multiple times for an update since I installed this 7 days ago.
Have factory reset twice with a clean set up on a hardwired laptop. Still no fix.
NG support has had me change wireless channels, check ping, reboot, and reset multiple times. Maybe just a defective unit?- FURRYe38Dec 17, 2020Guru - Experienced User
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?
What speed package do you pay for from your ISP?
I see your down channel are only locked in to 16. I presume you don't have 1Gb ISP services?
All this seen even before the recent FW update? If so, I presume you may have a bad unit that needs to be replaced.
I've had mine since last year and has worked well. Also had two EX7700s connectes for more wifi coverage. I've only recently took it off line to put my CM1200 online to work with it and my Orbi AX system. Otherwise my CAX80 has been great.
