CAX80 Multi-gig Port Issues
I see many posts about users having issues with the multi-gig port on the CAX80 but haven't been able to find a solution.
My multi-gig port will randomly start dropping connections after running for a bit, and then downgrade to 1 gig. The only thing that fixes it temporarily is unplugging the cable and plugging it back in.
I've tried everything. I've tried about 20 different cables - Cat5e, Cat6, Cat8 - different lengths, STP, UTP, nothing helps.
I bought new NICs and tried direct connections - Realtek and Intel chipsets - didn't help.
I got a MS305 switch and have tried only connecting the router to it. It still drops the connection and downgrades.
The issue is with the CAX80. I've tried every solution people have offered in other posts (disabling Wi-Fi, changing cables, setting the NIC to only 2.5Gb, etc).
Firmware is V2.1.5.2.
Has anyone found a legitimate solution to this problem? Thanks!

I'd get ahold of NG support and ask about a Beta FW thats been posted about. Was targeting a 5Ghz upload issue. Not sure if this will help.
I tested mine out a while back and could not get it to reproduce. CAX6A STP cableing only. Realtek adapter in a PC and also RBR850 and RBR960 connections to these devices.
I keep a laptop fan cooler under my CAX80 24/7.

I was told that there is no Beta firmware for the CAX80. I'm starting to think it may be a hardware issue.
I don't want to buy another one to test, but this device is the only thing that meets all of my needs... I really hope somebody can find a solution.
