okay so i have the cable modem/router and i’m getting at&t soon and want to just use my modem/router for just wifi how can i do that? i know you possibly can but it keeps resetting trying to find xfinity connection

there's a guide for forcing a modem/router combo device to act as an access point for older combo devices.
I've never needed it or had opportunity to try it for the CAX80 but I've read it doesn't work. You can try with the guide but its doubtfull to work.
