CBR750 doesn't works with Verizon FIOS Gig router after a power outage

I have using Orbi CBR750 model with one router and 2 satellites for several years with Verizon Router. Six months ago, I upgraded Verizon speed to Gig and got a new Verizon Fios router. Since then, any time we lose power, Verizon Gig router connects ok, but Orbi mesh remains down with Orbi router and satellites showing magenta lights. Manually rebooted the Orbi router and satellites with no success. Resync them multiple time and finally the Sync worked but as soon the satellites were taken to other locations, they were again out of sync.

Finally rebooted the Orbi from the app and it worked. Next time we had the power issue, I rebooted from the Orbi App, and this did not work until I rebooted the Orbi 5 to 6 times. The firmware is UpToDate on Orbi v7.2.6.31

I have a feeling that Verizon's new router and Orbi do not have a good chemistry. Has anyone else felt this problem or am I the lucky one? Since we can't go back to Verizon older router, is there a solution to this problem?

Seems like the Gig speed would be faster. Something to ask the ISP about.

You can set a IP address on the CBR to something that is is same range and string as that the incoming router has, so say if that router uses 192.168.1.x Set the CBRs IP address to 192.168.1.75 for example. Then disable the DHCP service on the CBR, there is a check box there, then apply this change, the CBR will reboot. Then connect the CBR to the host router using one of the LAN ports in back of the CBR to the LAN ports on the back of the host router. You can access the CBRs web page then as needed at 192.168.1.75.

Once the CBR is mostly ready, front LEDs on the CBR will blink as these are the modem side LEDS that are trying to get a connection but won't since you'll be disconnecting the coax cable or have already disconnected the coax cable from the CBR...once the CBR is ready, say 2 minutes, you should have internet connection thru the CBR with both wired and wireless devices. The RBS should sync up as well and get an IP address from the host router thru the CBR in this configuration.

You can put a post-it note or something over the front LEDs to hide them if you don't want to see them blink.

I ran this with my CBR a while back and it works to keep the CBR being useful as wireless AP system. Just all routing and security handling will be done at the host router level.

Thats due to the ISP your using is a Fiber/ONT service. The CBR only supports a cable coax ISP service.

You could configured the CBR for a faux AP Mode and connect the CBR to the ISP service router and use the CBR and RBS as a emulated wireless AP system.

Is there a difference between Verizon Fios 100 MBPS router and Verizon Fios Gig router? That is the only change I have.

How do I configure CBR for a faux AP Mode?
