CBR750 with RBS750
I have a CBR750 cable modem/router with 1 RBS750 satellite. The satellite just disconnected out of the blue and i can't seem to get it reconnected. I've tried removing it, resetting it, resetting the...

Glad you got it working. Please mark your thread as solved so others will know. Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.

The satellite shows a blue light indicating that it has a connection, but it's really not. What is really weird is in the Admin Home page it says 1 router and 1 satellite. But i go to devices, and it's not there. And it's definitely not functioning. I'm at a loss.
What is the evidence that the satellite is not functioning? For example, is there a laptop with an Ethernet port that can be connected directly to the satellite, but it doesn't get internet? (Ethernet to USB adapters are available on Amazon for under $10 to use with devices that have no Ethernet port (new laptops seem to have stopped including Ethernet. Tablets never have them. These adapters work with both.)
When a satellite appears in the top section of the Attached Devices web page, it does not also appear as a 'device'. Likewise, the Orbi 'app' shows satellites in the network diagram and they do not appear in the Device Manager.
Wow, did you ever 'Dodge a Bullet' by postponing that firmware update. The forum has seen a deluge of posts from users who found the new RBS750 firmware and made their satellites incompatible with their routers. This seems (to me) to be a classic case of "people doing what they were told to do" with no one raising obvious questions. After over six years of complaints from customers about the difficulty of connecting Internet of Things (IoT) devices with poorly written smartphone apps, instead of implementing the obvious solution (allow users to temporarily disable 5G WiFi), Netgear had a team create the IoT network feature. I can see it now. "Your task is to modify the 750 and 850 systems to create an IoT network with these features." Nobody mentioned the 350 system (cheap) or the CBR750 (cable modem), so the team did nothing to them. After the project was finished in late summer 2023, the team was disbanded and assigned to other projects. OOPS! This debacle will continue for years.

Hey CrimpOn!
Thanks for the reply..
the only evidence i have is that the satellite will not show up in the top of the devices screen where it should be. Also, i have about 32 devices connected, and the devices page shows a total of 14. And, my wife's laptop, which is about 6ft away from the satellite is only connecting at 72mb/s. Also, it shows up in the devices screen as being connected to the CBR750. This is why i am totally confused as to why it gives me the blue ring saying it's connected, when it clearly is not.

"My Bad" Did not read carefully.
- The Home Page says "1 satellite", but
- The Attached Devices page does not display the satellite (at all. no mention of status. Just not on the screen at all)
