CG3000D IP Flooding unchecked shuts down internet

I have Time Warner internet service.  Since I purchased this router my internet has been far from working at the appropriate 15 meg for websites and streaming.  I've just kind of dealt with it.

I found online that if I disable IP flooding by removing the check mark in the box that it runs a LOT smoother and faster.

However, when I do this, shortly thereafter all of my devices lose the connection and cannot reconnect.  I have to unplug the unit and reset it.  Then I can connect and the same thing will happen again.  If I don't want to continue to do this, I have to check the box for the IP flooding and all devices stay connected but I'm back to slow service.

How can I correct this problem?

  • I ended up doing a hard reset and that corrected the problem. Please disergard.
