CG3000DV2 Disconnects IP addresses conflicts
Hi,
I have a residential gateway CG3000DV2 wireless router / cable modem. My hand held devices keep losing conbection to the internet. In checking the LAN IP page in set up I noticed that 2 devices had been assigned the same IP address 192.168.2.107. When i checked some other devices I found 1 other device with the same IP. How can that happen. Isn't the router meant to handle the IP allocation within the IP range specificed and not double up the addresses. I am not a network exoert and would love some tips and advice.

Hello Garv
You are correct the router should assign different IP to each device but sometimes ip conflicts happen and 2 devices get the same address usually a restart of the system will work or disabling the network and re enabling will fix it. Is this problem happening all the time?
