CGD24G - Wireless Printing Not Working

Hello,
*
I am trying every which way to get the wireless feature of the HP 3050a j611 printer to work via*Netgear Modem / Router CGD24G (as provided by my ISP), for my MacBook Pro (OS 10.7) and Dell Laptop (Vista) and iPad2.
*
I've followed countless troubleshooting threads, FAQs, and forum threads. *I've also downloaded and installed the latest drivers (as of the date of this post). The printer is verifying that it is connected to the router, has an assigned IP address, signal is excellent, and reports that the WPS connection is complete (done via PIN entry with the router). *But neither laptop can find the printer on the network, upon the prompted unplugging the USB cable during USB-to-wireless setup or through wireless-only setup or trying to print to printer (which is visible in my printers list) anyway.
*
In my last residence, the wireless connectivity for this same printer and these same computers worked great. *I think I see that the old modem/router (as provided by that former ISP) used the WEP security protocol, whereas the Netgear reports it is using WPA-PSK. **
*
Please help!
*
Thanks

I'm sorry, but since the unit was provided by your ISP you should contact them for support. ISPs put their own firmware on units they supply so it wouldn't be possible to guess at how it works.
  • Printer should work with WPA but WPS only uses pin so I would configure the printer using encryption using WPA

I'm not certain this model has wireless isolation in the router setting but makes sure it is disabled
  • Thanks, guys.

    Will try the ISP...

JM-the printer does report it was connected via WPS and encryption still set at WPA. I do not see a setting in the router setup for "wireless isolation". Might that go by another name?
  • Disconnect using WPS method and comment with encryption instead
If you don't see wireless isolation and it should see the printer
