Changing factory password
How do I change the factory-set password on the modem/router? I would like to make it simpler.

Thats not changable. That needs to be the same always so if a modem is reset you can access it with that same factory password. The setup wizard has users set there own admin user custom password when walking thru the setup wizard.

Which one? Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model
number, and look for Documentation. Get the User Manual. Read. Look
for "Types of Logins", "Change the admin Password", and "Specify Basic
WiFi Settings".
