CM1000 is it the Modem or provider

Mediacom is the provider.
1 Gig Internet.
It's not my router as I swapped it out with a different one with the same result. I still have the same switch though but can't see how that could be the problem.
My guess is it loses internet for a brief time (few seconds to a minute maybe) but then never reconnects until it is power cycled (or if you wait 2-5 hours) sometimes it might start working again.
Six months or so ago I had contant drops that would last hours but then magically fixed itself.
It has to be the modem or the line coming in to the house or up to the modem.
If you touch the RG6 connector and my metal rack you get a contant shock (20-30 volts maybe) not a static shock. there is a bonding block in their box outside though.
Tech should be coming out next week but unless they can fix the power/signal most likely they won't fix anything unless it is down when they get here..

Ya if your seeing volts on the connector, you'll need to have a tech check into this. Have them check on signals and grounding as well.
