CM1000 Modem

we have a cm1000 that we have been using since 11/21 with no problems.  we lost power the other day and now it won't reset.  we have unplugged and plugged in to reset, put reset button and had our cable co reset.  all lights continue to blink

    Disconnect the coax cable.  With the modem powered on, push and hold the recessed reset button, with the reset still held pull the power cord.  Keep the button pushed for several seconds then reconnect the power cord, after a few seconds release the reset button.

     

    If the modem boots up, reconnect the coax cable.

     

    If not, you should consider your modem a casualty of the power outage. ☹

     

    For future reference, it is a good idea to purchase a small UPS unit to power your modem and downstream router.
