always verify it directly connected to CM1000 after a fresh power cycle to confirm you are getting close to a gigE performance.

what speeds do you see with your PC directly connected to modem?
is your PC/Laptop spec high-end and you are not using USB<>ETH adapters?
Please post connection table from the modem.

I'm using CAT 5 cable. I have a Surface Pro 3 PC running W10. My wireless router is a brand new Google WiFi. My wired connection speed is roughly 100-150MBPS today, and my wireless is 500MBPS. I'm paying for 1 Gig.
When I run ipconfig here's what it shows for Ethernet.

First thing you want to do is check the wired speeds directly on the modem without any google wifi. if you are getting 500 Mbps in wireless, you should be ATLEAST getting 500 Mbps on wired as well (if not way more).
Can you please confirm hard wired speeds connecting directly to CM1000? (remember to reboot the CM everytime when you connect PC vs Router behind it)
