If you do get issues, pull that amplifiers out and get a snip of your power levels.
Running 58dbmv on the upstream will cause issues.
If your downstream falls into a decent level, you probably don't need the amplifiers.
If you're needing it for tv, you could use a splitter with one leg going to the modem and the other running to the amp.

This is too high of US power.
Normal D3.0 US spec is 51dBmV
Extended US power can do anywhere from 54dBmV to 56dBmV sometimes.
58dB and that too with 5 US is really pushing it too far.
Need to be reduced to mid-high 40s ideally.

OK. Will explore solution in near future. In the meantime, can anyone elucidate the problem hiw US power causes (i.e. what are the symptoms)?

you will suddenly loose US bonding (and thats why you see Amber US light since it is working in single US channel mode)
AND/OR you will partial US service
AND/OR you see lot of T3/T4 as well when modem cannot push even more power.
